About the role

As the CTO, you will establish a technology vision and plans for growth, as well as ensure that the technology strategy and business strategy are aligned. You will have overall responsibility to ensure that technical solutions meet product needs and business requirements, lead and unify their technical team, and drive the development of innovative healthcare solutions.

In short, you will

  • Lead and mentor a talented and distributed tech team to deliver high-quality products and solutions.
  • Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies and trends relevant to the healthcare industry and incorporating them into our client’s product portfolio and services.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of scalable and secure software applications/SaaS platforms, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and usability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and operations, to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure successful product launches.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for software development, quality assurance, and processes to streamline workflow and optimize productivity.
  • Manage the technology budget, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to maximize ROI and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to healthcare IT and ensure compliance in all aspects of technology development and deployment.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record of leadership in a senior technology role, preferably within the healthcare or digital health sector, with experience in both hardware and software product development.
  • Strong strategic planning and business acumen, with the ability to translate technical vision into actionable plans that drive business growth and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build consensus around technical decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top technical talent, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Proven experience in leading remote teams or similar, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and productivity across distributed team members.
  • Experience working in a heavily regulated sector such as healthcare in a technical leadership role.
  • Demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in managing technological infrastructure and teams through periods of growth and change.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest AI technologies and experience in leveraging them to enhance products, processes, and decision-making within the healthcare industry.
  • Bonus: Experience working in a company growing both organically and via M&A.
